Go to https://compressor.io/compress and choose your compression type then choose to drag & drop your image or Select File:
Your image will now be compressed.
Now choose where to save your compressed image.
Log in to your WordPress Dashboad.
On left side panel go to “Media.“
The Media Library will display all the files and images you have uploaded.
Click “Add New.”
Note: The “Add New” button can be accessed at the top of the Media Library or at the left side panel below Media > Library Menu.
Upload image files.
This can be done by “Drag and Drop” or by uploading image files by clicking the “Select Files” button.
Select the image you want to edit. At the bottom right panel click “Edit more details.”
Select “Edit Image” to modify image size and settings.
a. Resize by: Cropping Image
i) Highlight the image section.
ii) Click “Crop” to cut the selected area.
iii) Adjust “Crop Size” by manually entering the height and width in the “Selection text box” or “Aspect ratio text box.“
iv) Click “Save” when done.
b. Resize by: Scaling Image Size
i) Enter image height and width.
ii) Click “Scale” to cut the image width size.
Restoring Image Size
To discard changes and restore original image size;
i) Click “Restore Original Image ” link at the right side of the image editor below Scale Image section.
ii) A dropdown box will appear. Click on “Restore image” button.
iii) WordPress will restore the image to its original size. Click on “Update” to save your changes.
Note: Don’t forget to “Update” everytime you do some changes otherwise your actions will not be saved.
Edit “Image Title“.
Add the image “Caption“, “Alternate Text” and “Description“
Note: Adding a descriptive image title, caption, alt text and description will help organize with your images in the long run.
When done click “Update” to save your changes.
